Scotiabank Appoints Sarah Hobbs As Country Head For Cayman

Georgetown, Cayman Islands – January 28, 2021 – Scotiabank Cayman has announced the appointment of Sarah Hobbs to the role of Vice President and Country Head of Scotiabank & Trust (Cayman) Ltd.

Sarah, who has over two decades of experience within the Bank, will now lead Scotiabank’s local business strategy and operations across the Cayman Islands. Sarah joins the Cayman team after serving as Managing Director for Scotiabank (Belize) Ltd.

Commenting on the appointment, Roger Archer, VP-District Head, Caribbean North expressed congratulations and shared that Sarah “has a strong understanding of the Cayman market having previously spent four years as Director of our Scotia Private Client Group.”

“We are confident that Sarah’s strong track record of sound leadership and her in depth knowledge of the Caymanian banking environment will enable her to quickly make an impact on the business and our customers’ experience,” Archer noted.

Sarah has held increasingly senior positions over her banking career across the areas of Retail Banking, Commercial Banking, Wealth Management and Operations. She has also served as Country Head for the Bank’s operations in the British Virgin Islands.

Sarah holds a Master’s Degree in International Business with distinction from the University of South Carolina with concentrations in Finance and Marketing and is involved with several charitable organizations.
