Use Supported Browsers
Scotiabank is committed to providing customers with a secure and protected environment for their online banking and brokerage. However, you need to do your part and use a secure browser with a 128-bit encryption supported by Scotiabank.
Browsers without 128-bit Encryption:
If your browser does not have 128-bit encryption, your access to Scotia OnLine Financial Services is denied, and you'll need to download one of the supported browsers listed below.
Browsers with 128-bit Encryption:
If your browser does have 128-bit encryption level but your browser version is not listed below, you may choose to switch to one of our supported browsers. Scotia OnLine has been tested and currently functions optimally with the supported browsers.

For your Internet security and best experience using Scotia OnLine, we recommend using the latest supported browsers. Please note we do not support Beta or test versions of browsers.

Things to Know Before Downloading or Upgrading:
With dial-up connections, a browser download could as much as 45 minutes to two hours depending on the speed (baud rate) of your modem and the general level of Internet traffic at the time. It is recommended that you perform the download when you expect to not use your telephone line for a period of time1.
While you must download the supported required browser versions that Scotiabank recommends, in doing so you acknowledge that these are third-party sites and Scotiabank cannot take any responsibility for the consequences of your downloading these browsers.
